تستعد بلجيكا لاستعادة أطفال بلجيكيين مرتبطين بعناصر من تنظيم الدولة، محتجزين بمخيمات شمال شرق سوريا مع أمهاتهم.

أما فيما يخص الأمهات فقد أوضح “دي كرو” في آذار الماضي أنه سيتم بحث أوضاعهن على أساس “كل حالة على حدة”، وأن الجهاديات اللواتي سبق أن أصدر القضاء البلجيكي أحكاما غيابية بحقّهن سيودعن السجن لدى عودتهن.
وأضاف، أنه سيبذل كل ما يتطلبه الأمر من أجل استعادة الأطفال البلجيكيين الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 12 عاما من المخيمات.
وكانت صحيفة “لو سوار” اليومية، أوضحت أن مهمة البعثة تشمل خصوصا أخذ عينات دم للتثبت من نَسب هؤلاء الأطفال، مشيرة إلى أن المهمة اقتصرت على مخيم روج فقط لوجود حماية فيه، حيث من الممكن إعادة نحو 8 نساء بلجيكيات و12 طفلا.
كما شدد “دي كرو” على ضرورة التحرّك بأسرع ما يمكن بسبب تدهور الظروف الحياتية والأمنية في مخيمي روج والهول، موضحا أن طلبات العودة ستتم دراستها بناءً على ثلاثة معايير هي “مصلحة الطفل والخطر الذي يشكله على النظام والأمن والآثار المترتبة على عملية الاستعادة”.
يذكر أن بلجيكا وفرنسا تعتبران من بين الدول الأوروبية الأكبر حصة من المقاتلين الأجانب الذين توّجهوا إلى سوريا بعد اندلاع الحرب في العام 2011، حيث تخطى عدد البلجيكيين الذين توجّهوا إلى سوريا للقتال في صفوف منظمات جهادية 400 شخص.
