سخرت الناشطة البيئية السويدية “غريتا تونبرغ” من قادة “مجموعة السبع”، لافتة إلى أنهم “لم يبذلوا جهودا ملموسة في قضية المناخ”.
الناشطة “تونبرغ” علقت عبر “تويتر” على صورة لبعض قادة “مجموعة السبع” وهم يتابعون عرض طائرات بمناسبة “تتصاعد أزمة المناخ والبيئة بسرعة، وتنفق مجموعة السبع مبالغ خيالية على الوقود الأحفوري، إذ من المتوقع أن تكون انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون ثاني أكبر زيادة سنوية على الإطلاق”.
وأضاف الناشطة البيئية: “وهذا يستدعي الاحتفال بشوي اللحم والكركند، بينما تقوم الطائرات النفاثة بالحركات البهلوانية في السماء فوق منتجع مجموعة السبع”.

إلى جانب ذلك، ذكر غريتا تونبرغ في تغريدة أخرى: ” يبدو أن قادة “مجموعة السبع” يقضون وقتا ممتعا في عرض التزاماتهم المناخية الفارغة وتكرار الوعود القديمة التي لم يتم الوفاء بها”.
واتفق زعماء “مجموعة السبع”، أمس الأحد، على زيادة مساهمات دول المجموعة للوفاء بتعهد متأخر بتوفير 100 مليار دولار سنويا لمساعدة البلدان الفقيرة على خفض انبعاثات الكربون والتكيف من آثار التغير المناخي، لكن بلدين اثنين فقط قدما تعهدات ملموسة بالمزيد من الأموال.
بدورها، قالت جماعات مدافعة عن المناخ إن التعهد الذي أعلن في البيان الختامي لقمة “مجموعة السبع” يفتقر إلى تفاصيل، وإنه ينبغي للدول المتقدمة أن تكون أكثر سخاء في تعهداتها المالية.
وفي البيان الختامي، جددت الدول السبع، وهي الولايات المتحدة، وبريطانيا، وكندا، وفرنسا، وألمانيا، وإيطاليا، واليابان، التزامها “بتوفير 100 مليار دولار سنويا من الموارد العامة والخاصة حتى عام 2025”.
